Creative Audios for Neuroplasticity

This is my first collection of calming audios that allow the brain to create new pathways in a variety of ways.

When give outlines or clues our brain will look to effectively fill in the blanks.

Hence the recordings you have available on this webpage enable neuroplasticity or sometimes termed 'rewire' to happen.

For more details about these "Neuron Moments" read the information given about the reasons I developed these recordings of these creative audios

Chair Relaxation for Anxiety or Stress Release

Bringing Body & Brain Together

This is one of my favourite audios because of it's versatility.

Some of the ways I have found it useful: -

  • Can help with anxiety as it takes people out of their heads

  • Can remove the focus on the physical aspects of their body

  • Brings a calmness that switches on the parasympathetic nervous system

  • Show that a slowing down and calm feeling is possible

  • Creates space for clients to pay attention, listen and think for themselves

Connect Brain and Body

Take time out in a quiet space

The need for connection is those with chronic pain are locked in their body so a quiet time to breathe and relax reconnects the brain.

Those with constant thoughts and anxiety are given the chance to be aware of and feel their body and find calm when reconnecting with their body.

Neuron Moments: Breath & Calm Tools

Breathwork to promote parasympathetic mode

My first type of audio - I call “enabling calmness".
These are used to make changes in stress and reactivity.

"Now you may be thinking - how can one of my patients sitting in the consulting room listening to a 3-minute audio, eyes closed and developing a relaxed breath - change a life?"

Certainly, an interesting question and over the years I've wondered that myself.

However intrinsic in the design of the audios that I create is a breath awareness technique that can very quickly be put into action whenever needed by your client.

With a simple tool learnt after listening two or three times they are able to self soothe and begin to change how they react to occasions and happenings in their life that had previously created stress overload.

We all recognize that when someone is in chronic pain invariably that pain is worse and more debilitating consequently a priority is to move out of sympathetic system quickly.

Slow Down to the Parasympathetic

Find a quiet comfortable place where you will not be disturbed

  • In your thoughts ride the train, create the scenery and slow down the rhythm of your breathing.

  • After several rides listening to Jean you'll be able to call into your imagination the gentle way to bring calm whenever you need - or just practice several times a day

Join Jean Beside the River

Bring a minute of calm into your day

  • The soothing sound of flowing water

  • The quiet background chatter of birds

  • Breathe out the stresses of your day

Neuron Moments: Emotional Release Series

Breathwork & Creative Imagery to Release Emotions

My second type of audio “emotional release” calmly & safely without "talk therapy"

The audios I create although effective are easy to use.

In one use short audios, can create profound changes by releasing emotions, negative thoughts or put more simply just letting go of stuff.

Again, being aware of the level of health literacy within the population I often use the expression “getting rid of emotional baggage” collected throughout life as an explanation to my clients.

Blowing Bubbles

Exhale and imagine emotions float away

  • Use the neural power of pursed lip breathing together with a gentle exhale this release is private, gentle and freeing.

  • It can also be fun creating colourful bubbles, big or small, one or many.

  • This creativity can begin positive neural circuit connections.

Emotions in the Wind

Creative video to let your emotions fly away

  • This creative listening will be great for those who like to 'get away from it all'.

  • To be in the bush, tramping over mountains or like the quiet and peace of the countryside.

  • If used more than once you may go on a different journey and have a different experience.
