Holding the sun between fingers.jpg

Do you ever feel like no one is overseeing your treatment, correlating your results, or monitoring your progress?

I often listen to clients’ stories of their consultations, tests, and the number of different clinicians they see for their chronic pain management and there’s one thing that always stands out...

And that is, how difficult it is to make sense of it all. Chronic pain sufferers can feel lost and confused, which can also lead to sadness and depression.

You are fearful of your prognosis no-one is talking about your future only negative outcomes.

So, how can you, as a patient with chronic pain, find direction and support, as well as more information to understand the pain management process?

It’s a gap I see all too often; the omission of providing a holistic view which in the past was always provided by the local family doctor.

This is why I’ve created this chronic pain support program.

Welcome to my 12-Week Chronic Pain Support Program

I've put together an online chronic pain support  program designed for individuals who are ready to break free from the limitations of pain and reclaim the life they once lived.

With compassionate support and tailored strategies, this program helps you move from feeling stuck to living fully again.

Online program - work through each module then review with Jean via Zoom

I've taken everything I've learned from working with clients to manage and overcome chronic pain, combining natural techniques and holistic approaches, and mapped out the exact steps you'll need to reclaim your life.

The Chronic Pain Support Program isn’t about following generic advice or sifting through endless resources trying to figure out what might work for you. You work through each part of the program, discovering what self-help techniques work for you.

There is new research about the importance of neuroplasticity and understanding emotions in healing chronic pain. Neuroplasticity refers to the brain's ability to change, to reorganise brain connections. Chronic pain can happen when your brain 'learns' patterns that keep you in chronic pain.

This comprehensive, pain recovery educates you on how to change neural networks so you can stop feeling stuck and start living again.

Here are 3 key parts of your journey. You'll come away with the support, solutions, and strategies you need to begin your recovery and regain control of your life:

Support

Living with chronic pain creates challenges every day. However there is only so much you can share with friends and family. Professionals do their best to help, often doing extra if you have a good relationship with them.

One client said to me "I can always be myself and if I feel lousy I can say so"

Solutions

There are many new ideas around treating chronic pain but rarely available at local doctor surgeries or even pain specialists.

Answers to the reason behind the persistence and cause of chronic pain are neurological, how the brain interprets and sends pain signals.

I am experienced and trained in neural network theory and can explain how you can use self help activities to take control of your pain - effectively we will be your pain management team!

Strategies

I have a library of videos and audios to educate and explain chronic pain from my 20 years of experience working with clients.

My resources provide education in various areas of health as pain impacts both your physical and mental health.

The main strategy is showing you ways that you can make changes with the success stories of previous client that have gone before you.

Client Testimonial:

Jean was instrumental in getting my central nervous system to a state of calm I hadn't experienced in years.

I was living with chronic pain, over four years: -

  • I had been to every specialist doctor in search of a diagnosis,

  • done every physiotherapy exercise prescribed to me,

  • the pain was only getting more debilitating.

I had been to various natural therapists before who would perform their therapy and tell me at the end what they're treated me for which sometimes sounded relevant and sometimes not. Jean is different.

She talks through her processes as she's doing them, and we present her findings of a potential emotional blockage from a certain age in my life, with the intention of me filling in the blanks therefore allowing my own neural network to make the connections that it's time to stop holding on to that event or thought.

She talked me through how to release those blockages so I could move forward from events which I sometimes hadn't thought about in years, but it was clear that my nervous system remembered.

I began to have days without pain and over time was able to pinpoint what triggered the pain and what helped to calm it.

Once my nervous system was no longer on high alert causing unnecessary physical and emotional responses, a doctor was finally able to discover a problem that could be solved with surgery, and we could proceed with certainty that surgery wouldn't result in exacerbated pain issues. None of this would have happened without Jean’s expertise, she really is a life changer.

Jean is taking a limited number of new 12-week coaching clients at this time

Here's what you get from my support program:

Initial contact will be online - Free assessment : Where I’ll listen to your pain story (history) and discuss the reasons for joining me and the changes you'd like to make in your life. Then plan the time we'll spend together if my program is suitable for you.

Client forms must be completed and returned before we meet

Regular check-ins: 30 minutes online

After completion of each online module we meet fortnightly online to discuss the activities in each session, feedback on your progress and celebrate the changes.

Pain Relief Resource Kit: Neuron Moments that contain videos, audios, guided imagery. Together with written information, questions and assessments that are carefully selected as self-help actitivies are integrated throughout the program.

What’s the Investment?

The 12-week Chronic Pain Support Program investment is $750 (NZD)

First of all, this program is NOT for you if: -

  • You believe you have to live with chronic pain.

  • You are sure there is a physical problem which is the reason for your chronic pain.

  • You want a quick fix of another pill, injection, or an operation to fix your pain.

  • You are unable or don't have the time to do self-help techniques on a daily basis.

However, this program would be perfect for you if:

  • You’ve been living with pain for longer than 3 months and feel like you’ve tried everything and nothing has worked

  • Unable to get a diagnosis or diagnosis keeps changing with each clinician

  • You are told there is nothing wrong

  • Your condition is no longer responding to treatment

  • Open to trying new ideas

  • Willing to put in the work and have the time

  • Want to understand more about your pain and how to live with more freedom

Who is this chronic pain coaching program for?

Meet your Chronic Pain Coach, Jean Jordan

Jean Jordan - Chronic Pain Coach

I’ve been treating chronic pain for 20 years, having a pain clinic in Perth and recently in Christchurch. Always aware of the stress, anxiety and emotional connections that accompany chronic ongoing pain.

After relocating to Christchurch, I’ve established the ‘Natural Pain Solutions’ online business, aiming to educate pain sufferers and clinicians in New Zealand and Australia.

My therapeutic approach emphasizes self-help techniques and understanding neuroplasticity—the brain’s ability to change—highlighting the role of brain integration and the nervous system in pain treatment.

I have postgraduate qualification in chronic pain management from Otago university.

I am also proficient in the latest neurological ideas of the causes of chronic pain having studied Freedom from Chronic Pain with Howard Schubiner the creator of “Unlearn your pain”.

The benefit of having ongoing support

I guess my ideas are rather old school as I was born in a time of the “family doctor”.

Living in a small country town Dr Holden was our doctor for as long as I can remember. He then added a younger doctor on whom I had a schoolgirl crush.

Our country town had only one medical practice which the doctor operated out of his home.

As a consequence, we had a “lynchpin” who held, either in his head or on file our total family health history.

What I hear from many of my clients today is this health history is no longer held in the same way. They see different doctors each visit, maybe a nurse checks their symptoms or medication.

Repeat prescriptions can seem to happen without an inquiry or review into their symptoms.

Such as one client told me: -

“It's so expensive, I have to see the doctor to get my pain medications every three months. The doctor just writes up a script and I'm charged $60 for 5 minutes”.

When she came to see me, she hadn't had a full review of her trigeminal pain for several years.

Recent Changes in our Health System.

Change is continual. We cope as well as we can with both the pressure doctors experience daily and being patients without a “lynchpin” that guards and cares for our health - past, present, and future.

In the past 15 years there has been new developments in the treatments for chronic pain. Research has shown that many chronic pain conditions are due to neurological changes rather than physical damage.

The brain can become effectively stuck in a stress response that can cause physical and mental symptoms.

Unfortunately, this idea of neuoplasticity is not recognised by some of the medical profession you have been working with.

Therefore this information may be new to you.

When you're stuck in pain and feel overwhelmed It can be hard to have hope.

Clients who used this program have been able to get their life back.

  • At the beginning they were stuck and felt overwhelmed.

  • In fact, one client was so fed up with going to appointments it was wearing her out. She had gone to so many appointments and not had any improvements in her pain condition. nor her hope to get her life back on track.

  • Client were living with stress and recurring negative thoughts without knowing how to get out of this trapped feeling.

Client Testimonial:

From my very first long consultation with Jean, it was evident that her kind and caring demeanour along with her knowledge and passion for natural healing, were what I needed. Her experience and expertise helped me understand what a tremendously stressful set of circumstances I had been dealing with regarding my loved ones.

She listened and gently questioned, getting as much information as she could. She got the “big picture” and was able to explain what was going on in my body as a result of the stress, worry and fatigue. This made me feel as if a huge weight was being lifted at last and I could be well again.

Jean got down to the nitty gritty of what I was dealing with and helped me to be stronger in restructuring my life in a more balanced way to look after myself, understand my body, and maintain my health. I continued to see Jean regularly and started feeling as if my body was my own again, and I started sleeping well.

Jean is caring, compassionate, honest, inspirational, and reassuring. She always continues to research the latest natural healing methods. Throughout treatment, Jean remained totally supportive, working with me, and not judging me, while providing advice to help me get my life back on track in a way that meant I looked after myself first and foremost. I am grateful to Jean not only for listening to me but addressing my health issues in a “whole body manner”.

There are many neuroplastic programs most of which are overseas, however I work with people in Australia and New Zealand. I have lived in both countries and am familiar with their medical systems and how they treat chronic pain.

With chronic pain treatment we neglect the main part of us our brain.

Pain treatments focus very much on the physical body, we have come to rely on these physical treatments, medications that are ineffective, and psychological treatments that teach us how to live with your pain as nothing can be done.

But there are new ideas and these focus around the fact that our brain creates pain. Our brain creates the signals that make it seem that the pain is actually in our knee, our back, or in many areas of our body.

If your pain moves from one place to the other or sometimes it's worse than others this is your brain deciding for its own reasons to send different messages.

Therefore, in my support program you will teach and explain in very simple terms what is happening and how you can make changes. The steps I am asking you to take will be as big as you want them to be or as small as you need them to be. However, if you join this program, it will require your commitment and time over three months.

Just like studying or learning a new skill. It's a step-by-step approach where practice is absolutely necessary for change to happen.

At the beginning there will be some basic understanding about the brain and neuroplasticity. Neuroplasticity is the ability of the brain to be changed. So, from the beginning of the course there will be techniques to learn and to use on a daily basis.

Chronic Pain Support Program

I have put together into my program the steps that I've developed over 20 years of working with people in chronic pain. Here's what I will be asking you to do as this online program effectively mirrors what I do in face-to-face treatment of pain clients.

Step One:

I ask you to sit down with my enrolment forms. These are not just tick boxes, they are about your life as it is living with your pain condition.

It's important to look at what is happening around your life and also not just at what isn't working but what is working and what you would like to do.

When I receive the forms; an online link up will check if what I am offering is suitable for you.

Step Two:

When I'm working face to face, I'm explaining and educating and giving examples of: -

  • Why you have pain,

  • giving case studies,

  • explaining how the brain works,

  • examples to help your understanding.

Step Three:

Also, in part of the consultation I take clients through some self-help techniques that can range from calming breaths to changing thoughts which again vary from client to client.

Hence in the program there is a wide range of self-help techniques given.

Step Four:

Now this is when real progress is made. The final part of my treatment, the client returns home with activities that they do on a daily basis. Maybe several times, maybe there’s something that they will use several times during the week or when necessary.

They have begun to have ways: -

  • To take charge of their life,

  • reduce the overwhelm,

  • create changes in their pain.

Step Five:

This final step is important and forms a major part of this support program.

When we get together, if you elect to have fortnightly online meetings with me, there will be an opportunity to discuss your progress and for you to ask questions.

Also, for us to celebrate, because the main idea behind my program is creates gentle ongoing progress that is positive and done with joy.

Pain Support Programs

If you're not sure you can commit to a 12 week program (NZ $195), I can offer the first three modules that will take 6 weeks. (NZ 320).

You can return to the following modules later if you wish. Though the short program may provide what you need.

If can be of benefit to have online meeting with me to discuss your progress, any problems or misunderstandings. Also it's great to have someone to help you celebrate the positive changes.

Online consults each fortnight can be booked as an additional cost, with each online consult approximately.

Please Note: When you book a zoom call, client forms will be sent to you.

These MUST be completed and returned BEFORE your consultation as the consultation cannot take place without your health history.
